Maeve O’Sullivan’s Kilmainham Gaol, December 1920

Maeve O’Sullivan is a Dublin poet. Her villanelle Kilmainham Gaol, December 1920 appeared in Boyne Berries 22, The Ledwidge Issue in September 2017. She recently recorded this film and released it on youtube. The film tells the story of her maternal grandfather’s internment in Kilmainham Gaol.

Dubliner Maeve O’Sullivan’s poetry and haiku have been widely published and anthologised. She is the author of four collections from Alba Publishing (UK): Initial Response (2011), Vocal Chords (2014),  A Train Hurtles West (2015) and the travel-themed Elsewhere (2017).
